Our Staff

At Advanced Riding Techniques we have an excellent team of both full time and part time staff who are all trained to give you the best possible tuition the industry has to offer, all our motorcycle instructors work exclusively for ART guaranteeing you both continuity and peace of mind.
All of our staff are not just DSA approved instructors, but are highly skilled, qualified, professionals & passionate about what they do, their qualifications include, DSA CBT1, DAS, ERS, R.o.S.P.A. diploma, B.T.E.C Diploma & F.B.O.S (first aid). All of our Advanced instructors are on the the DSA's Register of Post licence Motorcycle Trainers (R.P.M.T) and are able to deliver E.R.S (Enhanced Rider Scheme) tution and certificates.

Our Instructor team have beetween them over 100 years of riding experience and also over 60 years of teaching expertise, so you can rely on us to give you the best possible help and advice on all things motorcycle related. We are road user education specialists.

Motorcycle licence passed in 1984.
Teaching CBT & DAS since 1998, DSA Special Instructor test 2005, ERS, R.o.S.P.A Diploma 2005, B.T.E.C Diploma in Advanced motorcycle tuition 2005, F.B.O.S.
Steve loves riding anything with two wheels in all weathers, but mainly driving the desk for ART for the last couple of years.

 
Dave Stewart

Motorcycle licence passed in 1976
Teaching CBT & DAS since 2009, R.o.S.P.A Gold also car and bike Diploma holder. ERS since 2012. ADI car instructor. Dave is a keen rider in all weathers, when not teaching on bikes for us he runs his own car instruction service, Park Lane.

Motorcycle licence passed in 1991
Teaching CBT & DAS since 2005. ERS since 2011.
Dave enjoys riding motorcycle all through the year and is also a keen cyclist too.

Steve Ward

Motorcycle licence passed in 2006
Teaching CBT & DAS since 2015.
Steve is a really keen leisure motorcyclist owning several bikes, but his favourite is his new Honda Africa Twin.

John Moore

Motorcycle licence passed in 1996
Teaching CBT & DAS since 2016.
When not teaching professionally for ART, John is also a senior member of his local IAM group helping others to improve their riding.

Nina Burgess

Office administration
Nina has been around motorcycles all her life and is a BEMSEE qualified track marshall, so she really does know her stuff when it comes to bike racing.

Victoria Hearnden

Victoria Hearnden

Motorcycle licence passed in 2007.
Office administration
Vicky loves bikes and has done track days at Almeria in Spain on her Hanspree CBR600RR Honda. Also enjoys going to race days at BSB, WSB Moto GP. Maker of excellent Cupcakes.
