Our Staff

At Advanced Riding Techniques we have an excellent team of both full time and part time staff who are all trained to give you the best possible tuition the industry has to offer, all our motorcycle instructors work exclusively for ART guaranteeing you both continuity and peace of mind.
All of our staff are not just DSA approved instructors, but are highly skilled, qualified, professionals & passionate about what they do, their qualifications include, DSA CBT1, DAS, ERS, R.o.S.P.A. diploma, B.T.E.C Diploma & F.B.O.S (first aid). All of our Advanced instructors are on the the DSA's Register of Post licence Motorcycle Trainers (R.P.M.T) and are able to deliver E.R.S (Enhanced Rider Scheme) tution and certificates.

Our Instructor team have beetween them over 200 years of riding experience and also over 100 years or teaching expertise, so you can rely on us to give you the best possible help and advice on all things motorcycle related.

CBT & DAS since 1998, DSA Special Instructor test 2005, ERS, R.o.S.P.A Diploma 2005, B.T.E.C Diploma in Advanced motorcycle tuition 2005, F.B.O.S.
Steve loves riding anything with two wheels in all weathers, but mainly driving the desk for ART for the last couple of years, can also be seen very occasionally floundering about in the Atlantic Ocean trying to impersonate a surfer. (Very badly)

Motorcycle licence passed in 2003.
CBT & DAS since 2006, E.R.S and ADI Car Instructor 2005, F.B.O.S
Michael is a big fan of all things Honda and enjoys Race days at BSB & WSB, he is also a keen member of the steam locomotive appreciation society and can be found taking down engine numbers at old railway stations on a Sunday morning.

Frank Humphrey

Motorcycle Licence passed in 1977.
CBT & DAS since 2002, R.o.S.P.A Gold, I.A.M, Diamond special Test, and ADI Car Instructor 2002.
Frank rides an average of 25 to 30 thousand miles per year touring all over Europe, enjoys all types of Motorcycle and owned 50+ over the years! When not riding bikes Frank enjoys oil paintings with Windmills being his favourite subject.

Tony Warren

Tony enjoys off-roading, currently rides a Yamaha Tenere but can be found visiting the dark side on his GSXR, being a member of a gun club he likes to shoot things and his favourite tipple is a Pina Colada.

Dave is one of our most experienced instructors and still has the passion for teaching after all these years, when not working he can be found "tinkering" in his workshop restoring all things with two wheels (and sometimes three!)

Vicky loves bikes and has done track days at Almeria in Spain on her Hanspree CBR600RR Honda. Also enjoys going to race days at BSB, WSB Moto GP.
